Australian visa news June 2011
The Expression of Interest
DIAC, the Australian department of immigration, which deals with Australian visa criteria, has announced that in 2012, the Australian visa system will change to an Expression of Interest, or EOI system.
This means that the visa application itself (usually the last visa application stage, after the skills assessment and possible state-sponsorship phase) will be two stage.
In the first stage, the Australia visa application will be an initial tentative application, in which an applicant makes a simpler application to be 'accepted', and 'invited' to then make a subsequent 'normal' or full visa application.
This makes the Australian visa assessment and application process far more complex, as it will be necessary to know about the visa regulations, but also what likelihood there is of getting the Australia visa application invitation.
ASA will, of course, be the best Australian visa agent to assist with this process, as we will be able to assess which applications and visa occupation types have the best chances of success - and what needs to be done with the EOI in order to achieve your visa to Australia.
